New Mission Office Address

Snail Mail for Sister Martin

-This came in the email the other day-

Dear Families,

Please note:

The property, where the current mission office is located, has been sold; therefore, the mission office is relocating.  The move is scheduled to happen June 5th and 6th.
The new address (and where you should now start sending mail/packages) is:

Canada Winnipeg Mission
Your missionary’s full name (we have several sets of missionaries with the same last name)
505 Academy Road
Winnipeg, MB R3N 0C9
Canada

Of course, there will be a mail forwarding request in place to forward mail from our current location to our new location.  Also, we will be physically checking each location for mail.

Warmest regards,
Sister Hafen

Moose Jaw

Dear Family and Friends,

Well it's been a few weeks since I have been able to send an email out to you. Sorry about that! Things have been SO CRAZY lately. We just had transfers Thursday so I am no longer in Winnipeg, Manitoba. I am now serving in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. It is about 8 hours away from Winnipeg, I think it is the farthest west a sister can go in this mission. It is a pretty small town and it is really cute. And it is so beautiful here. Most everything is green and it smells way better than Winnipeg! haha. Church was great, I was able to meet a lot of the ward members and introduce myself. The ward is pretty small compared to the last one I was in. But I think that will be fun because I will get to know them all better.

Being with a new companion has been interesting. Her name is Sister Reyes and she is super nice :) We get along well. It is just weird not being in a tri-pan now and only having one companion! I miss Sister Davis a lot. She was my trainer. She just finished her mission and went home Thursday. And I miss the people in my last ward a lot. It is weird learning how to teach with someone new again. But we will get used to it and it will become more natural.

There is a whole lot of work to be done in this area and I am a little overwhelmed, but excited. My favorite scripture keeps coming to mind

Psalms 73:26 "My flesh and my heart faileth : but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever."

When I feel overwhelmed and not strong enough, I don't have to worry, because it is okay if I'm not strong enough because God can be my strength. He will help me :) The song that got me out on my mission also comes to mind once again. This darn song always gets me, no matter what I'm going through;

" Settle down, it'll all be clear, don't pay no mind to the demons that fill you with fear. Your troubles they might drag you down, if you get lost, you can always be found. Just know you're not alone, 'cause i'm gonna make this place your home." -Phillip Phillips

This transfer has brought a lot of new things and big changes. It is a little scary, but I am confident God will help me conquer the task ahead. He will make this place my new home for a while and all will be well :)

I hope you are all doing well. Love you all. As always, check out my blog for more updates and pictures :)

Love,
Sister Martin

P.S. Mail is always appreciated :)
